Arsenal told to accept ‘great money’ for Balogun after Sky reveal – ‘push it through’, says expert

Folarin Balogun must force a move if he wants to leave Arsenal this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Inter Milan would be the perfect destination for the youngster.

According to Sky Sports (3 July), Arsenal are exploring “potential exit routes” for Nicolas Pepe, Folarin Balogun, Albert Sambi-Lokonga, Nuno Tavares and Cedric Soares with Balogun being valued at £50million.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (26 June) that Arsenal are ready to let Balogun leave the club this summer following his successful loan at Stade de Reims in the 2022-23 campaign.

He notched 22 goals and three assists across 39 appearances in all competitions in his temporary spell at Reims last term.

With a potential transfer on the cards, Agbonlahor believes that Balogun could strike a partnership with Martinez from Inter Milan if he Arsenal allow him to join the Serie A side next season amid reported interest.

“I would also look to leave if I was Balogun ,” He told Football Insider.

“He’s got Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah in front of him, meaning that his gametime will be very limited.

Arsenal

“Inter Milan is a team that play two upfront, which Arsenal do not do as the Italian side play a 3-5-2 formation.

“He can look at it and create a strong partnership with Lautaro Martinez, so if I’m him, I’m really getting that move pushed through because it is great money as well for Arsenal to receive.”
