Arsenal transfer news: What £52m loss means for PSR and marquee striker signing

Arsenal may have to put their search for a striker on hold after the club recorded losses of £52million in the 2022-23 season, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners announced their 2022-23 accounts on Tuesday (27 February) revealing an overall revenue increase to £467million.

However, the North London side still suffered an overall loss of more than £52million – adding to the £45million loss in 2021-22.

Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules state that top-flight clubs are allowed to lose a maximum of £105million over a three-year period.

As a result, Arsenal may have to closely monitor their spending in the next year including the upcoming summer transfer window.
