Arsenal will be a 'force' next season if Mikel Arteta fixes one 'major problem' - pundit
Mikel Arteta must fix the “incredible” inconsistency at Arsenal before next season starts.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gunners’ form.
Arsenal beat Man United 3-1 on Saturday (23 April) after defeating London rivals Chelsea 4-2 a few days earlier.
Those wins out Arsenal up to fourth in the Premier League and made them firm favourites to finish fourth.
However, those results came on the back of a three-game losing streak in games against Crystal Palace, Brighton and Southampton earlier this month.
Kenny claims Arsenal would be clear in third place if they could fix their inconsistency.

“It’s just mad, isn’t it?” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“How do you go from losing and playing so badly in those three games, to then beating Chelsea and Man United in a week.
“That is a major problem for Arsenal, this incredible inconsistency.
“A team that beats Man United and Arsenal should be beating a Brighton team that can’t score or a poor Southampton team.
“If they had won those games and some of the other ones from earlier this season, they could be third, never mind fourth.
“If they can get that problem fixed next season then they could be a force this season.”
The Gunners are next in action against West Ham on Sunday (1 May).
They sit two points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham with five games left to play.
