Arsenal could sell Kieran Tierney after Man City reveal – Campbell

Kevin Campbell has suggested Arsenal would sanction an exit for Kieran Tierney at the right price.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker does not believe the 25-year-old will leave the Emirates this summer though.

According to The Scotsman (19 June), Tierney features on a list of potential left-backs for Manchester City this summer.

Pep Guardiola’s side are expected to strengthen their left full-back position amid uncertainty over the future of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Tierney has four years remaining on his contract at the Emirates and would not come cheap.

When asked by Football Insider for his reaction to the latest, Campbell said: “He won’t go but football is a business at the end of the day.

“If Manchester City made it work in whatever way and it was beneficial for Arsenal then maybe they would be compelled to do the business.

“You have to remember, players will come and go. It would have to be worth Arsenal’s while if they were to let him go though.

“People talk about him being captain material. He has really suffered with injuries though. It might be something that Arteta looks at and says, ‘ Let’s do the business.’

“It would all depend on what City would be willing to offer.”

Tierney missed the final the final part of last season with a knee injury.

He made 25 appearances across all competitions.
