Jeff Reine-Adelaide has been promoted to the Arsenal first-team squad, the club announced on Thursday.
The forward, 18, joined the Gunners from Lens last year and has caught the eye with his performances in the youth-set up as well at the Emirates Cup for the seniors last August.
Arsenal have now announced that Reine-Adelaide will be given an extended opportunity with Arsene Wenger’s first-team on their pre-season tour of the United States.
The France Under-18 international featured twice in the FA Cup last season for Arsenal and has proved his versatility, displaying his talents as an attacking midfielder and in a wider position.
Reine-Adelaide featured against Lens in Wenger’s most recent pre-season encounter and could make further appearances on the clubs tour of the United States before the start of the Premier League season.
The starlet is one of several highly rated young players at the Emirates alongside Alex Iwobi and Joel Campbell.
Arsenal have made three signings so far this summer, with Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano and Rob Holding all joining the club.
In other Arsenal team news, midfielder Francis Coquelin has been training as an emergency defender, he has revealed.
