Arsenal’s potential six-figure Carabao Cup windfall revealed ahead of showdown vs Man City
Arsenal will bank a six-figure windfall if they beat Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
The Gunners are set to take on Pep Guardiola’s side at Wembley on Sunday (22 March), having beaten Chelsea 3-1 over two legs in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Man City secured a comprehensive 5-1 victory on aggregate over Newcastle United to book their place in the final.
The Premier League duo have both earned £75,000 in prize money on route to the final, while winning the Carabao Cup is worth a further £100k, with the runner-up taking home £50k.
Although a £175k windfall will do little for Man City or Arsenal’s financial situation, both sides will be desperate to get their hands on the trophy.

Arsenal head into the Wembley showdown looking to claim their first major piece of silverware since their FA Cup final success over Chelsea in 2020.
While Mikel Arteta has turned the Gunners into a side capable of challenging consistently for honours, the pressure is on for him to add to the trophy cabinet at the Emirates Stadium.
| Round | Prize Money |
| Third round | £10,000 |
| Fourth round | £15,000 |
| Quarter-finals | £25,000 |
| Semi-finals | £25,000 |
| Final runners-up | £50,000 |
| Final winner | £100,000 |
Arsenal could claim a record-breaking quadruple following their impressive performances across all competitions this season.
The north London giants have built up a nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League table over Man City, who have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, the Gunners’ 3-1 aggregate victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League last 16 has set up a quarter-final tie against Sporting Lisbon next month.
Arsenal are also set to face Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals at St Mary’s in April, with Arteta’s side hoping to reach Wembley again later this season.
How Arsenal have banked £90m+ in prize money
The Carabao Cup prize money is a tiny fraction of the amount Arsenal have earned from the Champions League this season.
Having finished top of the competition’s league phase and progressed through to the quarter-finals, their total has already reached more than £90million.
That will provide a significant boost to the Gunners’ financial situation as they look to increase their revenue.
Arsenal published their latest accounts towards the end of February, showing their revenue surged from £616m in 2023-24 to £691m last season, marking a new club record.
Arteta’s side are expected to smash that record again following their performances this season.
