Aston Villa ace posts Twitter message ahead of international clash

By Amir Mir

Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish has posted a picture of himself on Twitter preparing for England’s Under-21 fixture against France.

Aidy Boothroyd’s side secured a late 3-2 victory against Italy last Thursday as Jack Stephens scored in stoppage time to extend the Young Lions unbeaten record to 15 games.

They now travel to France to take on Pierre Mankowski’s side in a tricky away fixture on Monday night.

Grealish, 21, missed the Italy win because of illness as he will now be hoping to take to the field in Paris.

Here is Grealish posting this message on his personal Twitter account:

Grealish has made an impressive start to his England career, after switching allegiances from Republic of Ireland last season.

He has made five appearances for the England youngsters, where he has scored two goals and provided two assists.

After the international break, Grealish will turn his attention to club matters as Villa travel to Brighton for a tough Championship fixture on Friday night.

Steve Bruce is unbeaten in his first five games in charge of the Midlands giants as Grealish has contributed with two goals and three assists this term.

In other Aston Villa team news, supporters on Twitter weren’t impressed with Jordan Ayew’s display for his home country.
