Aston Villa agree £32m double deal – sources
Aston Villa are hopeful that their commercial strategy will help them avoid having to sell several stars in future transfer windows, sources have told Football Insider.
The Birmingham-based outfit have struck a £20million-per-season front-of-shirt sponsorship with online sports betting platform Betano ahead of the 2024-25 season.
It is the most lucrative shirt sponsorship deal in Villa’s history and the most valuable deal of its kind outside the ‘Big Six’ in the Premier League.
Villa also struck a deal with Adidas to become their kit manufacturer deal from 2024-25 onwards worth £12million per season.
Villa are confident that the £32million annual boost to their revenue will help the club handle their ongoing financial trouble.

They confirmed a £119.6million loss in their latest 2022-23 accounts which puts the club on the brink of breaching regulations.
It is not known whether either sponsorship deal will be paid out in time for their 2023-24 accounts with the cut-off date being June 30.
Football Insider was told by finance expert Kieran Maguire that Villa will ‘have to sell’ this summer in order to comply with regulations.
However, the new commercial deals mean Villa are under less pressure to offload their star players.
A profit of £300,000 in their 2021-22 accounts means that the club needs to record a profit of around £15million to steer clear of financial breaches.
If Villa fail to comply with regulations in 2024-25 then they face a potential points deduction similar to the punishments given to Everton and Nottingham Forest this season.
Villa’s commercial revenue soared from £178million to £218million in their recent accounts and that figure is expected to rise again next season.
