Aston Villa chief Purslow 'oozes class' after what I saw last week - Phillips
Kevin Phillips was blown away by what he saw from Aston Villa CEO Christian Purslow last week.
The former Villains striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted as Purslow spoke directly to supporters.
Purslow spoke to Villa fans via Twitter just moments after Jack Grealish’s transfer to Manchester City was confirmed on 5th August.
In his message, Purslow explained why Grealish was sold and how the club planned to replace such an influential player.
He confirmed the £100million fee would be spent on more than one out and out replacement for Grealish.
Phillips was stunned by the message and claimed more owners and chairmen should follow suit and speak to the fans directly.

“That just shows a bit of class,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It keeps the connection with the supporters, instead of just keeping quiet and not giving explanations.
“It’s great to hear him come out and explain the reasons why Grealish went.
“The supporters can’t argue with that, whether you agree with it or not the decision has been explained.
“Then you move on. It’s great from an owner’s point of view. How many fans of other clubs would love to hear from their owners?
“It just oozes class for me.”
Vill have already spent heavily this summer, signing Emi Buendia, Leon Bailey and Danny Ings for significant fees.
They get their Premier League campaign underway with an away trip to Watford this weekend.
