Aston Villa confirmed line-up v Norwich: Veteran starts in two changes

By Amir Mir

Steve Bruce has made two changes to his Aston Villa starting line-up as they take on Norwich at Carrow Road on Tuesday night.

Gary Gardner and Albert Adomah drop to the bench after they started the win against Wigan at the weekend, while veteran striker Gabby Agbonlahor and midfielder Ashley Westwood start.

Midfielder Jack Grealish hit a stunning late goal against the Latics on Saturday afternoon, when his curling shot from outside the box sealed all three points, just two minutes from time.

However, Bruce will be hoping for a much better display this time out as they take on one of their promotion rivals.

Here is the club’s official Twitter account revealing the team news for the Norwich clash:

Villa’s star striker Jonathan Kodjia has scored seven goals this season for the Midlands side, but he has failed to find the net on the road since October.

Coincidentally that was the last time Villa picked up three points away from home when they claimed a late win against Reading.

Now they will be looking to inflict a seventh defeat in eight league games on Alex Neil’s side, knowing three points would see them leapfrog the Canaries in the table.

Norwich are ninth with 30 points from 20 games, while their opponents are 13th on 28 points, four points adrift of Leeds who occupy the final play-of spot.

In other Aston Villa team news, this claret and blue first team player has said no chance to a play-off spot.
