Aston Villa confirmed line-up v Brighton: Defender axed in three changes
By Amir Mir
Aston Villa take on Brighton on home soil on Sunday afternoon hoping to end their disappointing Championship season on a high.
Steve Bruce’s team were beaten 1-0 at relegation-threatened Blackburn last time out and they will be looking to put things right against the Seagulls.
Now, Villa have made three changes to their side, with defender Alan Hutton axed, alongside his injured teammate Jonathan Kodjia and Gary Gardner, who is on the bench.
Right-back James Bree, left-back Jordan Amavi and winger Albert Adomah have come into the side.

Striker Kodjia has been ruled out for a number of months after injuring his ankle at Ewood Park last Saturday.
The Ivory Coast international has scored the bulk of the club’s goals this term and could potentially miss the start of the next campaign.
It seems as though Amavi will be playing on the left-hand side of attack as the Frenchman has struggled in defence throughout the season.
Villa’s opponents will be playing Premier League football next season after Chris Hughton guided them to a top two finish.
Three points at Villa Park will ensure that Brighton are crowned champions ahead of Newcastle, who are the other promoted team.
It has been a season to forget for the Villa supporters, who were hoping to earn instant promotion back to the top tier.
However, another season in the Championship awaits them as they will be hoping to be in Brighton’s position this time next year.
In other Aston Villa news, Steve Bruce has issued a big warning to his players ahead of a summer exodus.
