Aston Villa backed to sign ‘absolute bargain’ Witsel after price tag update – pundit
Aston Villa could be about to pull off an “absolute bargain” if they can get a deal for Azel Witsel over the line before the 31 August deadline.
So says ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 114-cap Belgium international midfielder.
As per Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Villa are interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund man, who is valued at £4.3million.

The 32-year-old has just a year remaining on his contract and is reported to be keen to exit Dortmund this summer.
And Kenny claims that the the midfielder’s contract situation could be the cue for Villa to secure a cut-price deal.
“It sounds like a good deal, definitely,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“These days, £4m sounds like an absolute bargain for an experienced player like him. It depends whether they can get it done before deadline day.
“At that sort of price, his value would probably be a lot more if he had two or three years left on his contract.
“But he’s only got a year left. Dortmund are probably going to want to get some cash in and have at least something to show for it.”

Aston Villa have spent close to £100m on the signings of Emiliano Buendia, Danny Ings and Leon Bailey this summer.
Veteran wing-back Ashley Young meanwhile joined on a free transfer, while Axel Tuanzebe has arrived on loan from Man United.
