Aston Villa could be forced to sell ‘fantastic’ young star amid PSR concerns
Aston Villa’s financial concerns could grow deeper if they are unable to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Unai Emery was restricted in the transfer market during the summer transfer window after Aston Villa’s 2-0 defeat at Man United on the final day of last season meant they missed out on Champions League qualification.
Victor Lindelof, Harvey Elliott, and Jadon Sancho all joined Aston Villa on deadline day, in three of just five new additions.
Aston Villa’s 2-1 win over Burnley before the international break made it four straight wins in all competitions, as Emery’s side are recovering from a poor start to get back to their best.

Aston Villa may be forced to sell Lamare Bogarde
Lamare Bogarde only joined Aston Villa in the summer, but already the club may have to look to sell the 21-year-old.
As per the Daily Mail, [15 October], qualifying for the Champions League will have an impact on the club’s transfer business next summer.
“If they win the Europa League to book a spot in the Champions League, we can expect them to be relatively ambitious. If not, however, they’ll be restricted, and any money they spend on a new forward will have to come from sales,” the Daily Mail reported.
“Of the current squad, Morgan Rogers and Boubacar Kamara have the ability to generate significant profit, although keep an eye on Lamare Bogarde.
“I’m not suggesting the young Dutchman will be sold this summer but he is making rapid strides and like every club, Villa have to look at the bottom line, and Bogarde will deliver pure profit whenever he is sold.”
Morgan Rogers was pursued by Chelsea, with Aston Villa putting a huge £100million valuation on the 23-year-old, but the club do want to ensure they keep their star players.
Unai Emery praised Bogarde after Burnley win
Following Aston Villa’s victory over Burnley, Emery, as per Birmingham Live, was full of praise for Bogarde.
“Fantastic, because he is getting mature as a person,” Emery said.
“He was here when I arrived three years ago. Since then, until today, his development is clear.

“He was out on loan and then wasn’t playing. Sometimes we were demanding of him, pushing him and punishing him sometimes.
“He has reacted fantastically and he is playing with confidence. He is adding us one player more as a midfielder and a centre-back.
“I think his best position is a midfielder.”
