Aston Villa could make one change to their side when they take on Huddersfield in a Championship clash on Tuesday night.
Steve Bruce’s side have been in resurgent form of late, winning three matches on the bounce and securing three clean sheets in the process.
Following their 2-0 win at Rotherham on Saturday, Bruce could welcome back Jordan Amavi into the side in place of the injured Birkir Bjarnason.
Striker Jonathan Kodjia, who has netted 12 goals this term, might continue his role up front after scoring in consecutive matches for the club.
Furthermore, the midfield trio of Conor Hourihane, Henri Lansbury and Mile Jedinak could keep their places as they complement each other’s styles.
During the last game, midfielder Bjarnason played on the left-hand side of attack, but he left the field in the first half with an injury with his replacement Jack Grealish only lasting ten minutes.
Left-back Amavi, 22, was Grealish’s replacement and he could make a return to the starting XI after recently being dropped for January signing Neil Taylor.
In defence, the centre-back pairing of James Chester and Nathan Baker will be hoping to continue their roles and help their side secure a fourth consecutive clean sheet if they start.
They could be aided by the hard working Alan Hutton and left-back Taylor with shot stopper Sam Johnstone looking to continue his good form if given another start.
In other Aston Villa team news, this senior figure has reportedly joined the club after leaving Ibrox.
