Aston Villa fans hammer Moussa Diaby as ‘humiliating’ stats emerge

Aston Villa fans have slaughtered Moussa Diaby for his “humiliating” performance against Chelsea on Saturday night (27 April).

The Villans suffered a huge dent in their Champions League qualification hopes after the Blues mounted an impressive comeback to draw 2-2 at Villa Park.

Marc Cucurella scored an own goal before January signing Morgan Rogers notched a sensational second to give Villa a 2-0 lead at halftime.

However, Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher both scored to secure a point for the travelling side – and they could have had a late winner from Axel Disasi but VAR ruled out his headed strike in stoppage time.

Moussa Diaby was a ‘disgrace’ for Aston Villa against Chelsea

But Diaby was hammered by Villa supporters for his woeful contribution to the showdown.

The former Bayer Leverkusen ace was brought on from the bench for the injured Youri Tielemans in the 27th minute but completely failed to make a noticeable impact.

During his time on the field, Diaby managed just three successful passes, 11 touches, and no successful ground duels all while failing to register a single shot and losing possession eight times.

He was then hauled off by Unai Emery in the 83rd minute for Jhon Duran in a rare case of a substitute being taken out of action.

His bright start to life in Birmingham has quickly fizzled out, and many Villa supporters are convinced that he does not offer enough to the side.

They have taken to social media to bash the “woeful” attacker after his latest outing.
