'Give your head a wobble' - Aston Villa fans destroy senior player for display v Fulham

By Richard Parks
Aston Villa fans took to Twitter to criticise Sam Johnstone for his performance in their 2-0 Championship defeat to Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from man-of-the-moment Ryan Sessegnon and Floyd Ayite secured the three points for the Londoners in the battle of the in-form sides at Craven Cottage.
The win for Fulham was their seventh in succession in the league and ended Villa’s own golden sequence of seven consecutive Championship victories.
Johnstone, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester United, has been in excellent form of late but he made a clanger for the second Fulham goal that effectively ended his side’s hopes.
With Fulham already a goal up, the Villa number one kicked the ball straight to Ayite, who coolly drove the ball into the net from 45 yards out.
Supporters of the Midlands giants took to social media to express their disappointment and frustration, panning Johnstone for his error that was described as “calamitous” and a “clanger”.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
