Aston Villa fans react on Twitter as midfielder reportedly eyeing January move

By Amir Mir

Aaron Tshibola could leave Aston Villa on loan in January after falling out-of-favour with Steve Bruce – and fans on Twitter have urged their manager to give him a chance.

The Birmingham Mail claim the 21-year-old is eyeing loan moves in Europe, with a move to Rangers and other English clubs not ruled out.

Midfielder Tshibola has appeared on only one occasion since Bruce’s arrival, starting in his first game in charge, where Villa recorded a 1-1 draw against Wolves in October.

Bruce has opted to play the likes of Mile Jedinak, Ashley Westwood, Gary Gardner, Jack Grealish and Leandro Bacuna in the middle of the park since then.

Supporters on social media were bitterly disappointed with the reports with many stating that Tshibola has not been given a fair chance.

One fan couldn’t understand why the likes of Gabby Agbonlahor, Alan Hutton and Westwood continue to be given chances, yet Tshibola doesn’t.

The Villa faithful felt the young midfielder is one of the best talents the club currently has, therefore, he should not be allowed to leave next month.

But others were of the opinion that something may have gone on in the background, which is why his manager is not selecting him to play.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Tshibola made a summer move to Villa Park from Championship rivals Reading, signing a four-year contract in the process.

Since then he has gone on to make nine EFL Cup and Championship appearances, scoring one goal against Newcastle under former boss Roberto Di Matteo.
