Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to confirmed Gardner loan deal
By Amir Mir
Craig Gardner has completed a loan move from West Brom to Birmingham – and Aston Villa fans on Twitter believe his brother Gary is a better player.
Birmingham City confirmed on their official website that the 30-year-old midfielder has initially joined on loan until the end of the season and then the deal will become permanent on a three-year deal.
Gardner came through the ranks at Villa and then made a move to St Andrews in 2010 with his brother also on the books at the Midlands giants.

Villa have already played their second city rivals this season when Gardner’s header helped Steve Bruce’s side secure a point away from home.
They will next play on the April 23 at Villa Park where both brothers could compete in the middle of the park for their respective sides.
In the Championship, Bruce’s men are above Gianfranco Zola’s side in the table on goal difference as the duo head into the weekend matches.
Villa will be involved in a Midlands derby against former manager Paul Lambert and his Wolves side while the Blues entertain Nottingham Forest at home.
