Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to Grealish omission v Burton
By Harvey Byrne
Jack Grealish was left out of the Aston Villa line-up to face Burton on Monday – and Villa fans are disappointed.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has not featured since the December 13 fixture against Norwich.
He has struggled to reach a consistent run of form after emerging as one of the club’s brightest prospect’s last season.
However, as a product of the Villa academy fans are still hoping that the England Under-21 international can progress into a star and many are disappointed with his current lack of playing time.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Plenty of good options on bench with Ayew & Grealish, We've another game in 3 days so I thought we may have changed it but we need momentum.

Grealish > McCormack and that's the perfect team for me #AVFC

Grealish has played 18 times in all competitions, providing four goals and scoring three himself.
He will be keen to improve his goal and assist return in the future for a Villa side currently disappointing in 13th place.
Former boss Roberto Di Matteo has left current manager Steve Bruce to play catch up and the play-offs still look obtainable with just six points separating sixth from Villa.
However, the Midlands side must ensure that they don’t drop any points and a sold out clash at 21st placed Burton at Villa Park is the perfect fixture to achieve the three points in the Boxing Day meeting.
