Aston Villa fans suggest Jack Grealish is ‘re-signing’ as footage emerges

Aston Villa fans have taken to social media to urge the club to re-sign Jack Grealish after he was filmed Facetiming supporters ahead of their 1-0 Champions League defeat to Club Brugge on Wednesday (November 6).

The 29-year-old, who came through the Aston Villa academy and grew up as a fan of the club, could be seen bantering with supporters while at the pub.

Although not physically there, the England international was unsurprisingly the life of the party, unfortunately for him and all the traveling fans, however, Villa were undone by a controversial penalty decision.

Emiliano Martinez passed the ball to Tyrone Mings from a goal-kick, misunderstanding the situation, Mings picked the ball up and rolled it back to him, inadvertently giving away a penalty.

Villa are now winless in their last four games across all competitions as Unai Emery seeks to guide them through a rough patch of form with a win over Liverpool on Saturday (November 9).

Jack Grealish still an Aston Villa fan favourite

Grealish left his boyhood club back in 2021, securing a then British-record £100million move to Man City, where he has gone on to win three consecutive Premier League titles.

He’s clearly still loved at his old club, and fans have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to ask the club to bring him home.
