Aston Villa first team player fit for Ipswich clash, wing duo in contention

By Harvey Byrne

Aston Villa midfielder Aaron Tshibola is fit for the league clash against Ipswich, while Albert Adomah and Jack Grealish are back in contention, it was revealed on Friday afternoon.

The Midlands side confirmed a full injury report on their official Twitter account following manager Roberto Di Matteo’s press conference ahead of the tie at Portman Road.

However, forward Ross McCormack is a doubt for the match, while Ritchie De Laet may need surgery following the duo picking up injuries in the midweek fixture against Brentford.

Tshibola has been missing from the Aston Villa side since the match against Huddersfield on the 16th September.

He has been a big miss for Di Matteo, having featured in all of Villa’s opening four matches in the new campaign following his move from Reading in the summer.

Meanwhile, Adomah is still waiting to make his first appearance for the club following his move from Middlesbrough in the summer window.

He made a start and a substitute appearance for the north east side in the Premier League this season as he looks to win a second successive promotion to the top flight.

Grealish was a surprise omission from the midweek match against Brentford, but Di Matteo will be keen to get the young star back into his side after playing in seven matches and scoring two goals this season.
