Aston Villa games Tyrone Mings could miss as crushing injury news emerges
Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings is facing a period on the sidelines after picking up an injury against Liverpool on Saturday (November 1).
Villa tasted a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch.
Unai Emery was disappointed that his side couldn’t build on their recent purple patch, with Aston Villa beating Manchester City 1-0 a week earlier.
Their latest loss on Merseyside leaves Emery’s men 11th in the Premier League, but only three points behind fourth-place Sunderland.
Worryingly for the Spaniard, Aston Villa will need to cope without defender Tyrone Mings during a hectic fixture schedule.

Aston Villa suffer crushing Tyrone Mings injury blow
Mings was substituted on for Pau Torres in the 74th minute of their clash against Liverpool after pulling up in stoppage-time.
Emery confirmed the 32-year-old would be out for ‘some weeks’, with The Athletic’s Jacob Tanswell now revealing that he is expected to be out with a hamstring injury until 2026.

This news came after Mings went for a scan on Monday (November 3), which determined he would be sidelined for at least seven weeks.
For Villa, this is a crushing blow, as the towering defender has featured in eight matches this term, while captaining the side in the 2-1 loss to the Go Ahead Eagles.
Mings has suffered long-term injuries in the past, missing 14 months of action from August 2023 to October 2024 after picking up an ACL injury against Newcastle United.
Luckily, this injury isn’t as severe, but he will still be absent for the most jam-packed period of the campaign.

As Mings is expected to be sidelined until the New Year, he could miss a total of 12 matches before returning for the home clash against Nottingham Forest on January 3.
That is as long as his recovery goes swimmingly, as Emery won’t want to rush him back, given his previous injury history.
