3. Peter McParland
Peter McParland is one of Aston Villa’s all-time highest goalscorers with 120 total goals in 341 appearances across all competitions for the club.
Signed from Dundalk in 1952, the Northern Irish forward became one of the finest headers of the ball and helped the club to numerous success.
In 1957, he scored both of Villa’s goals in their 2-1 win against Manchester United in the FA Cup final, while also breaking the jaw of opposing goalkeeper Ray Wood.
McParland went on to win the first ever League Cup title by scoring an extra-time winner in the second-leg of the final against Rotherham.
