Aston Villa handed major training ground boost after new hire reveal - Hutton
Alan Hutton has claimed Aaron Danks’ appointment to the coaching staff will be a major boost for the Aston Villa squad.
The former Villa star, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, applauded Dean Smith for bringing in a “fresh face” to “mix everything up”.
As quoted by the Birmingham Mail, Smith revealed he had followed Danks’ career for “five or six years” before bringing him to Villa Park last month.
He suggested the new hire, who joined from Anderlecht, would help improve the coaching staff with “new ideas”.
Hutton admitted a change of coaching style and technique helps keep players from stagnating.
As such, he suggested Danks’ appointment would help keep the Villa stars on their toes over the coming months.

Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I can only talk from a player’s standpoint, and this is no slight on any manager.
“When you’re in a place for three, four, five years, hearing the same voice, doing the same coaching, it’s good stuff but sometimes it’s good for a fresh face to come in and mix everything up.
“It’s totally different, the training is different, the style that you’re doing, the intensity. Everything changes and it gets you thinking.
“Players need testing, I think, daily to improve. That’s what it’s all about.
“Dean Smith sees that, he recognises it, which shows how good a manager he is as well.
“He’s willing to bring somebody else into his staff for fresh ideas. Hopefully, the players are taking it on board and they can put it into their performances on a Saturday.”
Villa currently sit 10th in the Premier League table after seven games.
