Premier League clubs are set to receive their broadcast and merit payments within the next few weeks.

Villa were one of the standout clubs in this season’s Premier League with Unai Emery’s side finishing in fourth place.

As revealed by Football Insider, Aston Villa fear a potential Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) breach for the 2023-24 campaign and could be forced to sell one or more first-team stars this summer to avoid a potential sanction.

Following a loss of £120million in their 2022-23 accounts, it is understood that Villa are on the limit of PSR’s allowable losses and could be at risk of a points deduction.
