Morgan Rogers responds to Lamare Bogarde’s message amid Aston Villa exit links

Morgan Rogers has responded to a message shared by Aston Villa teammate Lamare Bogarde with speculation swirling over his future at the club.

Rogers was one of Villa’s star men last season, scoring 14 goals and producing 13 assists across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Bogarde featured in just a handful of games for Unai Emery’s men last term, making only five Premier League starts.

The former Bristol Rovers loanee will hope to make a big impact for Aston Villa next campaign, whereas Rogers could be departing.

Rogers responds to Bogarde’s message amid Arsenal and Chelsea links

The England international’s impressive performances for Emery’s side have not gone unnoticed, amid high-profile suitors in the transfer market.

After notching eight goals and 10 assists in the Premier League last term, Rogers has been linked with Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been credited with interest in Rogers, who commented on Bogarde’s latest Instagram post.

Taking to the social media platform [20 June], the defender shared photos of himself in the United States, captioned “MIA” alongside an American flag emoji.

Rogers commented: “Global.”

Bogarde could be set for major Aston Villa breakthrough

The Villa Park faithful would be gutted to see their club part company with Rogers this summer, after the excellent service he has given to Emery’s men since joining from Middlesbrough in 2024.

Meanwhile, Bogarde could be set for an exciting campaign next season, after featuring in wins over the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham last term.

The 21-year-old is yet to nail down a regular spot in Emery’s starting lineup, but the fact that he can operate as both a defender and a holding midfielder makes him an ideal asset.

Furthermore, Bogarde was handed a new contract in April, proving that Villa believe the Netherlands Under-21 international has a bright future in the West Midlands.

Alongside the interest in Rogers, Lucas Digne is in talks with Atletico Madrid, as exclusively revealed by Football Insider.

But the potential pain of dealing with such exits could be eased by the emergence of Bogarde.

Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho has been tipped to join Emery’s men in a Villa News exclusive.
