‘Aston Villa secure £3m deal’ after £70m reveal
Aston Villa are on course to record club-record revenues again this season due to their stellar performance in the Champions League.
Villa are on course to generate around £70million in prize money from Europe this term after progressing directly to the last 16 of the competition.
This development comes after Unai Emery’s side were believed to be close to the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) limit last season, with Premier League clubs only permitted to lose £105million over a rolling three-year period.
Aston Villa’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Villa Park between 2016 and 2018 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has lifted the lid on another multi-million-pound windfall for the club as they go from strength to strength financially.

Aston Villa are set to bank £3m windfall
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness has claimed Villa’s new deal with cybersecurity firm eSentire could be worth £2-3million in cash and services.
Gambling shirt sponsors will be outlawed in the Premier League from the 2026-27 season, a decision which will affect the Midlands giants – who currently have betting side Betano on their strips.
Wyness suggested cybersecurity and cyptocurrency companies could make a big push into football sponorship in the coming years.
He told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “Cybersecurity is an interesting area.
“I’ve been looking at this, and cybersecurity is a really big sponsor in Formula 1.
“I wondered why it hasn’t been so big in football. It could be that the CTO’s at these companies are more F1 fans than football fans, as they are more technical brains.
“But as cybersecurity is becoming broader in its needs, it could be another category – alongside crypto – which could go further in football.
“I think it’s a sign of things to come in the football sponsorship industry.
“It’s difficult to say how much this could be worth to Villa, it’s not a shirt-related deal.

“My guess would be around the £2-3million mark. A lot of that may come in actual services being delivered to Villa in kind.
“I think there’ll be a mixture of cash and services, but it brings them into this new category which is important in itself.”
‘Aston Villa set for fight to keep Rashford’
Football Insider has been told by ex-England goalkeeper Paul Robinson that Aston Villa are set to be in a fight with rivals to sign Man United forward Marcus Rashford permanently.
The 27-year-old joined Villa on loan in January but did have other options available to him.
Rashford has made just one appearance at Villa Park but it has already been suggested that he could bank Unai Emery’s side “£100million” in the coming years.
