Mills makes Grealish transfer claim as Aston Villa complete latest signing
Ashley Young will have a big role to play on and off the field at Aston Villa next season, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender insisted it is vital Dean Smith’s squad added some experience.
Aston Villa announced last week Young has penned a one-year deal after leaving Serie A champions Inter Milan.
The 35-year-old spent over four years at the club previously before joining Manchester United in the summer of 2011.

Asked whether that’s what Villa needed in their squad, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “It’s really important.
“You’re bringing in a quality player with experience who can play in numerous different positions.
“He’ll be very good around the training ground as well as on the field on a matchday.
“He knows the club very, very well. It’s a shrewd signing, a very shrewd signing.
“Villa are starting to bring in some real quality signings and I guess it’s about whether they can keep hold of Jack Grealish.
“If they can, then they’re going to have a very decent squad.”
Young scored 37 goals and provided 59 assists in 190 games across all competitions in his first spell at Villa Park.
His 369 career Premier League appearances have yielded 47 goals and 86 assists.
