Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers reacts to new Jhon Duran message as deal agreed
Morgan Rogers has reacted to a new message on social media from his old Aston Villa teammate Jhon Duran after he officially transferred to a new club.
Duran was a standout for Aston Villa during parts of his two-year stay at the club between January 2023 and January 2025.
He scored eight goals in 37 appearances in his first full campaign at the club in 2023-24, then was an important asset to Unai Emery off the bench last season, with 12 strikes in 29 games.
Duran left Villa for Al-Nassr last year, and continued his impressive scoring form in the Saudi Pro League before being loaned out to Fenerbahce last summer.
Tottenham were among numerous Premier League clubs linked with a move for Duran throughout January, but while he did not move back to England before the window closed, the 22-year-old has now sealed another loan move away from Al-Nassr.

Rogers among numerous Villa stars to react as Duran joins Zenit
Duran was also linked to Leeds and Crystal Palace last month, with both clubs looking to add to their respective forward options.
He struggled for form in Turkey, with five goals in 21 appearances for Fenerbahce, and so looked destined to join another club on loan until the end of the campaign throughout January.
Duran has now officially moved to Russian Premier League club Zenit St. Petersburg from Al Nassr, and he took to Instagram on Monday to share a message about his move.
He wrote: “Very happy to get to a great club and eager to contribute the best,” and the post was liked by Rogers, as well as the likes of John McGinn, Amadou Onana, Douglas Luiz and Ezri Konsa.
Who could Rogers join if he leaves Villa this summer?
Rogers established himself as one of Emery’s key players last term, registering 14 goals and 13 assists in 54 games.
He has notched 10 goals and seven assists in 35 appearances so far this season, and Villa had no plans to let Rogers leave in the January window.

Interest in his services has been rife and is only bound to grow stronger as time goes on, especially if he has a strong World Cup with England, with Chelsea previously linked to Rogers before he signed a new Villa contract.
Ollie Watkins has tipped Rogers to play for Real Madrid in the future, and it certainly seems likely that he joins a European powerhouse like them or Chelsea if he does leave Villa Park soon.
