Aston Villa star Jonathan Kodjia is set to miss the clash with Brighton on the final day of the season, according to a reliable journalist.
Birmingham Mail reporter Gregg Evans revealed on his personal Twitter account on Saturday that Kodjia was set to undergo a scan on an ankle injury, and will likely miss the Championship season finale in a week’s time.

The 27-year-old goalscorer had to be withdrawn after 72 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Ewood Park on Saturday, and the club will learn the extent of his injury within the next 24 hours.
Kodjia has been a crucial player for Aston Villa this season, scoring 19 goals from 39 appearances, but his potential absence against Brighton could see him fall short of a goalscoring landmark for the club.
He could have been the first Aston Villa player to net 20 league goals in a single season since Peter Withe, who achieved the feat during the 1980-81 season.
However, the twisted ankle sustained in the defeat to Blackburn suggests that he could end the season with 19 goals, which is still no mean feat.
The Ivory Coast had been declared eligible to face Blackburn and Brighton after seeing his three-match ban reduced to just a single game, where he sat out against Birmingham a week ago.
