Aston Villa 'throwing the kitchen sink at Grealish' after Sky update - Whelan
Aston Villa will be “throwing the kitchen sink” at Jack Grealish in an attempt to persuade him to stay.
That is the view of former Leeds and Middlesbrough striker Noel Whelan, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the “inevitable” exit of the 25-year-old.
Sky Sports reported on 26th June that Manchester City are stepping up their interest in Grealish.
Villa do not want to entertain any offers for their captain and are said to be in talks with his representatives over a new deal.
He has four years left on his current contract.
Whelan fears the Midlands giants cannot prevent Grealish’s exit.

“I’m sure Aston Villa are throwing the kitchen sink at Jack Grealish right now,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“They know he is irreplaceable for them. But it is inevitable that he will leave.
“I think they may as well capitalise right now to get as much money as they can for him. Some things you just cannot stop.
“Jack Grealish will want to play in the Champions League and compete for top honours. It is no different to Harry Kane.
“The time has come for both of these top players to move on and for both clubs to take a massive pay out for players who cost them nothing.
“Sometimes you cannot fight a wave. It is like Tsunami. You just have to deal with it, hold on and hope everything is OK.
“There is no bigger powerhouse than Man City. They are going big.
“Grealish is so important to Villa but they cannot stop this. You can tell that they’re preparing for like without Jack Grealish. “
