‘Aston Villa to make unprecedented move as big clubs queue to sign Boubacar Kamara’
Aston Villa are set to take massive action as major transfer interest ramps up around midfielder Boubacar Kamara.
It has been another impressive season for Unai Emery‘s side, who have reached the quarter finals of the Champions League and semi finals of the FA Cup.
The French international has been a vital part of that, and it was seen as a major blow for Aston Villa when Kamara picked up an injury earlier this season.
He has since returned from that setback and continues to impress in the centre of the park for the Midlands club.

Boubacar Kamara deal
As things stand, Kamara‘s contract with his current club is due to expire at the end of the 2026/27 season, in just over two year’s time.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Aston Villa had yet to hold talks over a new contract for Kamara, despite Emery’s desire to keep him at the club.
Since then the situation has changed, with more recents updates claiming that talks over a new deal had begun.
Boubacar Kamara for Aston Villa in 2024/25 | Total (as per SofaScore) |
Appearances | 17 |
Pass Success Rate | 90% |
Tackles per Game | 2.4 |
Clearances per Game | 2.1 |
Interceptions per Game | 0.8 |
Duel Success Rate | 56% |
Indeed, there is apparently a confidence that Aston Villa will agree a contract extension for Kamara, and it now seems they are going to considerable lengths to do that.
According to a new report from Foot Mercato, several “very big clubs” are taking an interest in the 25-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.
In response to that, Aston Villa are said to be doing all they can to prevent the midfielder from leaving, and are therefore taking “unprecedented” action, with an “historic” contract offer for Kamara.

Aston Villa can make major statement with midfielder agreement
Football Insider Verdict
The descriptions of this offer being made to the midfielder by the club would appear to suggest that he is being offered the biggest contract in their history.
As a result it would be a major coup for Aston Villa if they are able to agree a new deal for Kamara and ward off that interest from elsewhere.
Doing so would show that they do indeed want to be genuine contenders at the very top level of European football.
Given these claims around the interest in Kamara from elsewhere, that is a point they surely have to reach if they want to match their competitors and keep him.
Agreeing a new deal for the midfielder would therefore generate a huge amount of excitement among Aston Villa fans, both for retaining a key player, and showing huge promise for the club’s future.
With that in mind, all concerned will no doubt be eagerly awaiting further news over exactly what direction Kamara’s future appears to be heading in.
With Emery at the helm this club has made huge strides in recent seasons and it looks like they are showing no signs of slowing down.
