‘Aston Villa to send Axel Disasi back to Chelsea’ – fans erupt
Axel Disasi has endured a difficult time at Aston Villa with frustration growing among fans following his performance against Manchester City.
Aston Villa fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium as Matheus Nunes struck in stoppage time to earn all three points for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Disasi was brought on from the bench but was asked to fill in at right-back, where he found himself exposed against the pace and trickery of Jeremy Doku.
The decisive moment came late on when Doku breezed past Disasi with a burst of speed and a clever bit of skill down the left flank. He then delivered a dangerous ball into the box, setting up Nunes for the winner.
Disasi initially had a strong start to his Aston Villa career, but his early promise has started to fade in recent weeks, especially when played out of position. His performances at right-back have left fans concerned, and the late lapse only added to growing doubts about his form heading into the final stretch of the season.

Axel Disasi under pressure after dip in form at Aston Villa
Emery’s side fought off competition from Tottenham to secure the signing of Disasi, stepping in as cover with Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings both sidelined through injury spells.
However, Aston Villa fans were not happy with Disasi signing, with many claiming the club had made a “panic signing” following the sale of Diego Carlos.
Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa were initially prepared to pay £50 million for Disasi in a major January deal, but the move ultimately materialised as a straight loan, with no option or obligation to buy.
Despite that, Emery has placed a fair amount of trust in the defender, already handing him 10 appearances. But his recent displays may be giving the manager something to think about heading into the final games of the season.

Aston Villa fans call for Axel Disasi return to Chelsea
Disasi’s struggles reached a new level after the defeat to City, after he was left exposed by Doku in the build-up to the late winner.
That performance followed a disappointing outing against PSG in the Champions League, where he again failed to impress. Chelsea fans have criticised Disasi’s display, especially against PSG, as some of their fans don’t want to see the Frenchman back at Stamford Bridge.
With no clause to make the deal permanent, Disasi’s chances of remaining at Villa look slim if his form doesn’t improve, and many fans are already calling for him to be sent back. As one Villa supporter put it plainly: “Send Disasi back to Chelsea.”
