Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers react to Amadou Onana amid exit rumours

Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers could both leave Aston Villa this summer and they have responded to team mate Amadou Onana’s latest message.

The club are keen to keep the pair and want to sell fringe players before letting key players leave.

Ramsey came through the youth ranks at Villa, but is “unhappy” at the club given difficulties over regular playing time and Thomas Frank wants to make him one of his first signings at Spurs.

Meanwhile, Rogers would be able to leave Villa for £100million should any club make such an offer.

Midfield partner message sparks interest

Rogers and Ramsey have both reacted to fellow midfielder Onana’s latest social media post.

Onana, who joined Villa last summer from Everton in a £50m move, shared a video with followers around new music which was liked by his two team mates.

The 23-year-old appeared 34 times in his debut season at the club, scoring five goals as Unai Emery’s mean came sixth in the Premier League table and made the FA Cup semi-finals.

Trio to depart before major departures

Football Insider Verdict

Villa’s transfer window looks to hinge on who they can sell first before entertaining any offers for there key stars.

As Football Insider exclusively revealed Leander Dendoncker, Louie Barry and Kaine Kesler-Hayden are all on the transfer list as three players the club want to sell.

Goalkeeper Emi Martinez and striker Ollie Watkins also have uncertain futures at the club and both could recoup substantial transfer fees.

Emery though does not want to lose his first choice goalkeeper and top goal scorer.

Rogers and Ramsey are also key parts of Emery’s midfield, and their ability to unlock defences and chip in with goals cannot be understated.

The long-term future of Villa’s midfield could be built around both players if they were to stay at the club.

PSR is clearly have an effect on the club’s transfer business and missing out on Champions League football has hit revenue hard amid a campaign in the Europa League next season instead.

Emery may be forced to sell a key player if he wants to strengthen the squad, as so far the Spaniard has yet to make a significant signing.
