Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers reacts to Tyrone Mings amid exit rumours
Aston Villa face losing key stars this summer and Morgan Rogers is attracting increased interest from Chelsea.
Villa have placed a £100million valuation on Rogers, but may be forced to sell the midfielder due to profit and sustainability rules (PSR).
Unai Emery wants to keep the 22-year-old, who starred in Villa’s midfield last season as the club finished sixth in the Premier League table and made the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Chelsea have been told to make a move for Rogers, whilst Blues striker Nicolas Jackson could head in the opposite direction.

Rogers approves of defender’s return
Tyrone Mings took to Instagram to share pictures from Villa’s first week back training, which was liked by Rogers and fellow team mates Matty Cash and Amadou Onana.
Mings captioned the post: “Week 1,” with a fire cracker emoji.
The 32-year-old has been at Villa Park for six seasons following a move from Bournemouth in 2019.
The defender appeared 22 times last season and recovering from a serious knee injury which kept him on the side lines for 14 months.
Emery could benefit from Rogers sale
Football Insider Verdict
Villa are facing a difficult transfer window and it looks like Chelsea could make a move for star midfielder Rogers.
Letting the midfielder go would boost Villa’s PSR projections, and could fund signings, but Rogers’ creativity and goals would be a loss.

Villa have Conor Gallagher on their shortlist of midfielders as Jacob Ramsey could also depart, with Tottenham and Nottingham Forest interested in the 24-year-old.
Gallagher though is a holding midfielder who will not be able to replace Rogers’ dynamism and attacking threat.
Also, with the potential departure of striker Ollie Watkins, if Rogers goes to Chelsea it makes sense for Emery to enquire about Jackson.
The striker would be available at the right price as Enzo Maresca has already bought Brighton’s Joao Pedro and Ipswich’s Liam Delap in this window.
Jackson has not been a ruthless finisher at Stamford Bridge, but his pace and ability to stretch defences would mirror the job Watkins has done for Emery.
Even if Watkins stays, if Villa could afford the move for Jackson then it would provide much needed competition for the 29-year-old.
