Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers sends emotional message after significant manager news
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers has sent a moving social media tribute in the wake of a recent major managerial announcement.
The attacker enjoyed an impressive campaign with Unai Emery‘s side in the Premier League, although it appears he is following his former clubs closely.
Rogers joined Aston Villa from Middlesbrough in the 2024 January transfer window, just a few months after he had moved to the Riverside Stadium from Man City.
While his stay in the North East may have been brief, some of those he worked with while he was there clearly seem to have made a significant impression on him.

Michael Carrick sacked by Middlesbrough
On Wednesday (4 June), it was revealed that Middlesbrough had sacked Michael Carrick as manager, after almost three years in charge.
The former Man United and West Ham midfielder had impressed many during his time in charge, but ultimately failed to secure the club a place in the Championship play-off despite significant backing.
As a result, his tenure at the Riverside Stadium has now come to an end, and given he was the man to bring Rogers to ‘Boro, the Aston Villa man has been keen to show his support.
Taking to his Instagram story in the wake of that announcement, Rogers posted a picture of himself and Carrick together during their time together at Middlesbrough.
That was then accompanied by a caption showing his support for the 43-year-old which read: “What a guy all the best gaffer”.

Aston Villa ace will be one to watch this summer
Football Insider Verdict
There is a good chance Carrick will not be out of work for long even now he has left his role with Middlesbrough.
The ex-England international impressed many with his work at the Riverside Stadium, and so it is unlikely he will be short of offers.
Indeed, Carrick was even touted for the West Ham job earlier this season, which shows how highly he is viewed.
Rogers meanwhile, could also be facing something of an uncertain summer as rumours circle around his own future.
The likes of Chelsea and Man City have been linked with the Aston Villa attacker, who his current club may be under pressure to sell after controversially missing out on Champions League qualification.
So like Carrick as he searches for a new job, Rogers is another name it could be worth keeping an eye out for in the coming months.
