Au revoir Arsene – Five greatest Tottenham games against Wenger’s Arsenal

3. Arsenal 2 – 3 Tottenham (20/11/2010)

If the last two on the list were impressive comebacks, then this one tops the lot – if only because it actually resulted in a Tottenham victory; their first at Arsenal for 17 years!

Goals in the first 30 minutes from both Samir Nasri, who himself had turned up the derby day heat before the game by refusing to shake the hand of former Gunner William Gallas, and Marouane Chamakh, seemed to set the tie up to go the way it had done so many times over the years – but Harry Redknapp’s men had other ideas after the half time break.

Whatever the Spurs boss had said in the dressing room, it had the desired effect, with Gareth Bale bringing the visitors right back into the tie five minutes after the kick off.

With the Gunners under pressure, Cesc Fabregas’ handball gave Rafael van der Vaart the chance to equalise from the penalty spot, dispatching his effort past Lukas Fabianski, and with five minutes left to spare Younes Kaboul glanced home to silence the Emirates Stadium and send Spurs across north London with three points.
