Ayden Heaven and eight-recovery star among Man Utd’s three winners vs Leeds
Manchester United had some positives to take from a disappointing 1-1 draw with Leeds United on Sunday.
Brenden Aaronson had put the home side ahead in the 62nd minute, before Matheus Cunha found the leveller just a few minutes later.
Ruben Amorim‘s side battled for the three points, but were ultimately forced to settle for a second consecutive draw.
Here, Football Insider has named three Manchester United winners from Sunday’s draw with the Whites.

Ayden Heaven plays beyond his years vs Leeds United
Ayden Heaven has been in terrific form of late, and it was another solid performance from the teenager on Sunday.
He made several key defensive contributions and was a crucial presence at the back for the Red Devils.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in extraordinary form for Leeds, but there was no fear from Heaven, who dealt with him well.
The former Arsenal defender appears to have gone up a level following the return of Lisandro Martinez, with the pair starting to form a solid partnership.
Heaven will not look back fondly on Aaronson’s goal, however, with the winger drifting behind him to get on the end of Pascal Struijk‘s ball.
Matheus Cunha the attacking shining light
Bruno Fernandes is set to be missing through injury for another week or so, and Manchester United are evidently a team lacking attacking purpose without him.
Add in the loss of Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo to AFCON, and the Red Devils have defender Patrick Dorgu starting in attack.
Cunha was a shining light, and attempted to get his teammates going up the pitch on several occasions.
Once Manchester United were behind, the Brazilian made his mark by slotting in Joshua Zirkzee‘s through ball to equalise.
Casemiro proves quality still present
Casemiro has been just as much to blame for Manchester United’s lack of presence in midfield under Amorim.
But the Brazilian was in superb form on Sunday. The 33-year-old created more chances than any other player on the pitch, including two big chances.
| Casemiro | Vs Leeds United |
| Minutes played | 90 |
| Accurate passes | 57/72 |
| Chances created (big) | 4(2) |
| Tackles | 3 |
| Clearances | 5 |
| Recoveries | 8 |
The midfielder took a couple of shots himself and was everywhere on the defensive front. He made three tackles, five clearances, and completed an incredible eight recoveries.
Casemiro will likely leave Manchester United in the summer, but he will go out on a major high if he can keep producing performances just like that.
