Ayden Heaven and summer signing – Three Man United players who must be axed vs Wolves

Ruben Amorim will have no other choice but to rotate his Man United lineup when travelling to face Wolves on Monday.

Man United were dealt a setback by West Ham, with Soungoutou Magassa cancelling out Diogo Dalot‘s opener at Old Trafford, seeing them remain eighth in the Premier League table.

Had the Red Devils beaten Everton and the Hammers, they might have been as high up as third in the table, but supporters have been left feeling short-changed after two disappointing results in three games.

A trip to Molineux Stadium on Monday, 8 December, represents the perfect chance for three points, despite Rob Edwards now being in charge of Wolves, with the Old Gold winless in their last 10 matches.

With a victory desperately needed, these are three changes that could be made by the United manager.

Ayden Heaven

Ayden Heaven was a surprise starter at Old Trafford, with Leny Yoro benched and Matthjas De Ligt nowhere to be seen, and it was certainly an interesting decision.

Within eight minutes, the academy graduate had a yellow name next to his name after scything down Jarrod Bowen, and Amorim felt the need to replace him during the half-time break.

Lisandro Martinez returned from injury to make the bench, and with a few minutes under his belt, the Argentinian could make a timely return to the lineup ahead of facing Wolves.

Luke Shaw

Much like his defensive partner, and scarily identical, Luke Shaw picked up a caution for hauling Bowen down, and the manager was in no mood to risk his side going down to 10 men.

It was a frustrating night for the makeshift centre-back, who has shifted across the backline since Amorim’s arrival, making a total of three fouls before picking up his yellow card.

If all defenders are available to the manager, it is probably about time for Shaw to miss his first Premier League game of the campaign.

Matheus Cunha

Matheus Cunha is still finding his feet at Old Trafford, and an emotional return with his former club might be too much for the Brazilian, who has only scored once since leaving the Old Gold.

The 26-year-old unleashed three shots, all of which were blocked, completed zero of his crosses, was dispossessed three times, was dribbled past twice, and lost seven of his nine ground duels [FotMob].

Mason Mount is ready and available, notching three goal contributions in 12 games this term, and he could be the man who returns to the lineup at Cunha’s expense.
