Ayden Heaven issues update after Man United agony vs Leicester
Man United centre-back Ayden Heaven has sent a message to supporters after his side’s clash with Leicester City ended in individual heartbreak for the teenager.
Heaven only joined Man United from Arsenal earlier this season, but has already made his mark at Old Trafford.
A raft of defensive injuries mean that the young centre-back immediately became part of the first-team setup under Ruben Amorim.
Having come off the bench as a substitute, Heaven impressed as Man United drew with his old club Arsenal earlier this month.
That helped earn him a place in the starting XI for his side’s last two games, although the more recent of those dealt him a worrying setback.

Ayden Heaven stretchered off in win at Leicester City
Heaven played the full 90 minutes as Man United beat Real Sociedad in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie last Thursday (13 March).
But after keeping his place in the lineup as the Red Devils travelled to Leicester on Sunday (16 March), that outing came to a sadly premature end for him.
Early in the second half, Heaven went in for a challenge with Patson Daka as he defended a cross into the Man United area.
In doing so, the teenager inadvertently picked up an injury that left him needing to be stretchered off the pitch with his leg in a brace.
That will inevitably have prompted concern among those connected with the Old Trafford club, and Heaven himself has now given an update on his situation.
Taking to his Instagram story on Tuesday (18 March), the Man United centre-back posted a picture of himself being carried off the pitch, along with a caption which read:
“Thank you guys for all the support! I have read all your messages, and I’m doing really well and recovering fast.”

Man United will want Ayden Heaven back quickly
Football Insider Verdict
It is never nice to see a player getting injured, and this did have a feeling of a particularly difficult situation.
Heaven has been excellent since coming into the Man United side, so it would be extremely tough for such a young player to take a setback like this just when he was breaking through in a dream scenario.
As a result, everyone connected with the club will be desperate for this not to be as serious as the stretcher makes it look, so he can quickly get back on track.
Beyond that, with the likes of Lisandro Martinez out for the season and others also missing currently Man United are badly short on depth at centre-back right now, hence Heaven’s inclusion in the first place.
Therefore they can ill afford for this to become another long-term injury absence for such a promising young player from that perspective either.
