Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko put on a hugely disappointing performance in the Premier League clash against West Ham United on Thursday night.

During the match, fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure at the France international’s mediocre display.

There were even calls for the 28-year-old to be axed in order to make way for Everton star Ross Barkley, a player who Tottenham have been heavily linked to.

It was a bad night all round for Tottenham who looked like going down to a shock 1-0 defeat to West Ham despite dominating the possession and shots on target.

However, Heung-Min Son popped up with a sensational equaliser late on to share the spoils.

It wasn’t the result Tottenham were looking for though, and fans blamed one Tottenham player in particular, with Sissoko taking an absolute battering on Twitter.

Here are a selection of the best tweets from angry Tottenham fans:

The Frenchman has already played 29 games in all appearances this season, bagging two goals in the process, but he came nowhere near adding to that today.

Spurs’ central midfielder was guilty of losing possession and failed to provide any kind of threat for his side going forward.

Tottenham play AFC Wimbledon in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday next and Pochettino may opt to give his midfield man a break in order to freshen up.

Fans will certainly be hoping he does.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs have been given some bad news as their star player needs extensive tests over an injury.
