Premier League 25-year-old ace: I'm interested in being at Leeds next season
By Harry Sykes
Kyle Bartley has revealed he is interested in joining Leeds permanently in the summer.
The defensive kingpin has made a huge impact since moving to Elland Road last July on a season-long loan from parent club Swansea.
Bartley, 25, has established a formidable centre-back partnership with fellow loanee Pontus Jansson that has been integral to Leeds’ promotion challenge.
At the same time as moving to Leeds, Bartley signed a contract extension with Swansea that runs until the summer of 2018 and means any potential buyer would have to pay a significant fee to prise him from the Liberty Stadium.
Bartley spoke to the media on Thursday ahead of Leeds’ Championship showdown against promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday lunchtime.

Asked about the possibility of extending his stay at Leeds, Yorkshire Evening Post correspondent Lee Sobot quoted Bartley as saying that “if there’s an opportunity to join Leeds and Swansea let him leave it’s something that could interest him”.

Bartley joined Swansea from Arsenal in the summer of 2014 but was on the fringes at the Welsh club and has made only 26 appearances for them.
At Leeds, Bartley has made 37 appearances in all competition this season and has started 32 of their 33 Championship encounters.
Leeds are now preparing for the mouthwatering clash against Yorkshire rivals Wednesday at Elland Road, which pits fifth against sixth in the league.
