Bayern Munich make Michael Olise transfer plan

Bayern Munich have no plans to lose star man Michael Olise anytime soon amid interest in his services from Manchester City and other top clubs.

Michael Olise has been a key player for Bayern since he joined the club from Crystal Palace for around £50million in the summer of 2024.

He registered 12 goals and 15 assists as they won the Bundesliga title in his debut campaign at the club, and despite staying put all summer, Football Insider revealed last month that Liverpool could soon explore a move for Olise as a long-term Mo Salah replacement.

The France international has started this season in fine form with five goals and six assists in nine appearances, and Football Insider revealed on Friday (3 October) that Man City are also interested in Olise alongside the Reds and Real Madrid.

His contract at the Allianz Arena runs until 2029, so improving the terms of his deal will be the biggest priority for Bayern right now amid widespread interest in his services.

Bayern Munich preparing a new contract for Olise to end transfer speculation

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcastBayern Munich are confident that Olise will remain at the club and sign a new deal.

Olise is believed to have a price-tag of above £100m, akin to the fees Liverpool paid for Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, and City’s chances of signing him anytime soon seem to be diminishing.

Speaking on the Inside Track podcast about Bayern’s plan for the 23-year-old, I explained: “I think it’s a real difficult deal to do for anybody, not just Manchester City, because Bayern Munich don’t want to lose to Olise. He’s under contract until 2029, there’s talk about preparing a new deal to try and ward off that interest and sort of end any speculation with a move away.

I’m sure Bayern will be confident they can keep hold of Michael Olise. So yeah, it looks a real difficult deal to do for Man City and all Michael Olise’s other suitors as well, because he’s such a key man for Bayern now.

Bayern won’t want to lose their top players and they’ll put a huge price tag on their side to scare off those potential interested clubs and as I said they’re preparing a new contract that they will hope that the Frenchman will sign to sort of end any speculation of a move away from Bavaria.

Man City want Phil Foden to sign a new deal with Olise move unlikely

City are set to receive a major setback in their pursuit of Olise if he signs a new Bayern contract, and they look to be protecting their own future in the right-wing position as a result.

Football Insider recently revealed that Man City are desperate for Phil Foden to sign fresh terms, with his current deal set to expire in 2027.

Foden has started the new season in better form compared to his tough 2024-25 campaign, and there would likely not be space for both him and Olise in the Citizens’ squad as both players like to play off the right-wing.

The England playmaker is known to be happy at his boyhood club, with an extension soon set to be signed, and so it looks as if City have already moved on from Olise and the likelihood of signing him in the years to come.
