‘Bayern Munich turn attention to Marcus Rashford deal after Luis Diaz twist’

Bayern Munich could now turn their attention to a deal for Marcus Rashford after a Luis Diaz twist has emerged.

Rashford spent the second half of the season on loan at Aston Villa after making the move to Villa Park in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old enjoyed a strong start to life with Unai Emery’s side after registering four goals and six assists in 17 appearances, but he missed the final few games of the campaign with a hamstring injury.

The England international’s future looks set to lie away from Manchester United despite him returning to Old Trafford following his loan spell.

Although Rashford’s preferred destination is believed to be Barcelona, the Spanish giants are yet to make a move for him this summer.

Football Insider revealed on 4 June Man United are keen to sell Rashford, but they have not ruled out another loan spell.

Newcastle United are believed to be interested in a loan move for the forward as they look to strengthen ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.

Bayern Munich ready Marcus Rashford move after deal blocked

Bayern Munich have now emerged as a potential destination for Rashford.

talkSPORT’s Alex Crook reported on 2 July Bayern have seen an approach turned down for Diaz, with Liverpool insisting he’s not for sale.

Crook added that Rashford is another option for the Bundesliga champions this summer as speculation continues around his future.

The German club are looking to bolster their attacking options after Leroy Sane has agreed to join Galatasaray following the expiration of his contract.

While Diaz would fit the bill, having registered 17 goals and eight assists in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign, Arne Slot’s side appear adamant he won’t be leaving Anfield any time soon.

Bayern could now turn their attention to Rashford, with the forward possessing the qualities they are likely to be looking for this summer.

He also has plenty of experience playing with star striker Harry Kane, with the pair taking to the field together for England on several occasions.

Man United expect low Marcus Rashford offers

Football Insider revealed on 1 July United are expecting low offers for Rashford over the coming weeks.

He has no long-term future at Old Trafford, but sources say moving him on is proving increasingly difficult due to his high wages.

Rashford is believed to be on around £325,000 a week, with his contract set to run until 2028.

While the saga could drag on until late into the window, the attacker is still expected to complete a move this summer.
