BBC pundit destroys Liverpool 29-year-old for display in Arsenal draw
BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas has destroyed Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet for his howler in the draw against Arsenal.
The Merseyside club picked up an away point at the Emirates Stadium as the teams played out a 3-3 classic.
Liverpool were in pole position with goals from Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah, but the hosts then turned the game on its head with three goals in five minutes.
Alexis Sanchez’s header pulled one goal back, before a long-range effort from Granit Xhaka went straight through the gloves of Mignolet.
Mesut Ozil then added a third for the Gunners, but there was still time for Roberto Firmino to rescue a point for the Reds.
Jenas was very critical of goalkeeper Mignolet for his role in Xhaka’s goal and was amazed that he didn’t save the attempt/

“The keeper has to do better – I cannot understand why he is not using two hands?” Jenas told BBC Radio 5 Live, as quoted by BBC Sport.
“It is a poor goalkeeping error, it is straight down the middle of the goal. It moved around the lot the ball, but that’s more of a reason to go with both hands.”
Mignolet once again come in for criticism in a Liverpool shirt and the goalkeeper continues to make individual mistakes that cost his side.
The Belgian shot-stopper has been the number one ahead of teammate Loris Karius this campaign in the league, but his error proved crucial in his side’s capitulation against Arsenal.
