Paris Saint-Germain are in hot pursuit of Toby Alderweireld as his contract row with Tottenham rumbles on, according to a Belgian journalist.
Kristof Terreur, who covers the Belgium players for newspaper HLN, reported on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday morning that French giants PSG are keeping close tabs on the centre-back, 29.
Terreur reported that Alderweireld was fit and available to face Chelsea but manager Mauricio Pochettino chose to omit him from the matchday squad.

Alderweireld has made just two appearances for Spurs since tearing his hamstring at the start of November.
It has been reported that talks over a new contract have broken down and that Mauricio Pochettino has given the green light for Tottenham to sell him in the summer window.
Football Insider verdict:
The writing is on the wall for Alderweireld at Spurs, and it is now all over to his agent to find a new club willing to pay him the kind of money that Daniel Levy clearly won’t. The defender’s representatives will also have to source a potential employer who will meet the chairman’s asking price. Don’t expect an early summer transfer, or a simple one. Levy won’t give Alderweireld up easily, and it is a deal that could drag on for months, before it is to his satisfaction. PSG are a fine club and an established Champions League regular with the finances to ensure Alderweireld’s market value is adequately reflected with a stunning contract.
In other Tottenham news, the club are working on a deal to sign a 29-year-old left footer who would be a sensational signing.
