Ben Davies, Reguilon: Updates on new Tottenham contracts
Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies could both leave Tottenham as part of a squad overhaul, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that both defenders are coming towards the end of their contracts and no talks over an extension have been held.
Spurs will explore options to reshape their defence given the issues they have had so far this season with several players likely to be let go.
Reguilon, 28, is most likely to walk away at the end of the season after making just five appearances and playing 242 minutes across all competitions so far.
Davies, 32, has been more of a regular under Ange Postecoglou and has filled in with 25 appearances while his teammates have been injured.
Former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in January that Tottenham are open to Davies’ exit amid interest from Leeds United.
