Ben Davies to be offered Tottenham deal amid £30m claim – expert
Tottenham value Ben Davies at £30million and could offer him a new contract this summer.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Davies, 29, was a key player for Tottenham following Antonio Conte’s arrival in November, making 35 appearances in all competitions during the remainder of the 2021-22 season.
He also played the full 90 minutes as Wales beat Ukraine to secure their place at their first World Cup since 1958 on Sunday (5 June).
Wenham would be delighted to see Davies agree new terms.
“I hope Davies stays at Tottenham next season, I see no rumours or stories that say otherwise,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I also wouldn’t be surprised if Tottenham offer him fresh terms on a new contract. He is an outstanding option.
“His deal currently runs until 2024 and the club seem really happy with him. I’m really pleased for him.
“If you are a team who play three at the back and you are looking for a left-sided centre-back, he’s Premier League proven.
“He also has Champions League experience and 71 caps for Wales.
“We have no interest in selling him and if someone were to come in you would value him at £30million, simple as that.”

Davies has made 271 appearances for Tottenham since joining the club in July 2014.
He joined from Swansea, where he had been since 2000.
In other news, one Tottenham expert can’t believe an ‘incredibly bizarre’ Heung-Min Son development.
