Ben White backed to leave Arsenal for big-money summer move as new destination revealed
Ben White is rumoured to be set to leave Arsenal this summer with the MLS and the Saudi Pro League now the bookies’ favoured destinations for him.
The defender has spent much of this season dealing with injuries, despite a return to form in December.
The 28-year-old spent almost all of last season on the sidelines with an array of problems, and looked to have put the issues past him in a period of strong form midway through the season.
Injuries have caught up with White, however, and he only returned to the bench against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday after around three weeks out.
Right-backs are reportedly in Arsenal’s transfer plans this summer, as they look to reinforce their options in the position.

Football Insider exclusively revealed in January that Everton could sign White in the summer for a fee in the region of £20-25million.
The Toffees are among the Premier League clubs who would be interested if the Gunners made the right-back available.
White joined Arsenal from Brighton in a £50million deal in 2021, spending the first season situated alongside Gabriel in the centre of the defence.

But after William Saliba returned from loan, the Englishman was deployed on the right and excelled there.
Jurrien Timber was bought in 2023 to provide back-up for White, but an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament on his competitive debut saw his teammate pushed more than ever.
The 28-year-old would ultimately fail to appear in just one game across the entire season, reportedly playing through injury for much of it.
The result has left White with recurring issues and an uncertain future amid the form of Timber since his return.

One major bookmaker has backed any MLS team as the 3/1 favourite to sign White if he leaves this summer, with any Saudi Arabian team at 4/1, and Barcelona at 5/1.
Arsenal have their White replacement at home
Arsenal were linked with Tino Livramento this week, but the Newcastle United full-back has injury issues of his own.
The replacement Mikel Arteta could turn to if White does leave may already be in the Arsenal squad.
Cristhian Mosquera, 21, has only played at right-back once for the Gunners, and it came at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The defender made five tackles and won five duels in just 33 minutes that day, and certainly has all the tools to play the position.
The same can be said of 16-year-old Marli Salmon, who has made his first senior appearances this season. There is likely a few more years of development for the teenager to go through first, however.
