Arsenal fans are all but unanimous in their reaction to a major update on Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid amid mounting speculation over a possible summer exit.

However, focus may now be shifting to the situation surrounding Real Madrid star Rodrygo. Football Insider revealed Rodrygo is on Arsenal’s shortlist ahead of the summer window, though any deal would likely come at a significant cost with the club believed to value him at around £85 million.

Despite the hefty price tag, Arsenal supporters have reacted positively to the news, with many expressing excitement over the prospect of the 24-year-old making the switch to North London.

Arsenal have shown the ‘most interest’ in Rodrygo race

Eduardo Burgos, a journalist for Spanish outlet AS, revealed on X that Arsenal are among the clubs showing the “most interest” in Rodrygo ahead of the summer transfer window.

He added that the Gunners are “monitoring” the situation closely, though any contact so far has been described as “informal”.

The 24-year-old has made just 22 starts in La Liga this season, frequently rotated across the front three as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham dominate the attacking positions.

Despite limited minutes in his preferred role, Rodrygo has managed to register an impressive 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.

Meanwhile, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has urged Arsenal to sign Rodrygo, describing it as a “statement” move for the club and newly appointed sporting director Andrea Berta.

The update has unsurprisingly sparked excitement among Arsenal fans, though it’s clear they won’t be alone in the pursuit.

With an £85 million valuation, any potential transfer would require a major financial commitment and possibly limiting other signings despite the opportunity to bring in a world-class forward.

Still, Arsenal fans remain optimistic and have been vocal online in their support of the move.
